Sir LSG (real name Lesego Sefako)began his career as a DJ in 2006 whilst studying to become an electrical engineer at the University of The Witwaterstrand. It seems the love for music took precedence as the young Sir LSG began collecting records and dropped out of varsity soon after that. Being bitten by the music bug in his formative years, Sir LSG became part of a House Music groupHood Natives in 2007 with 3 other DJs, but left the group in 2011 to pursue his solo career. Heenrolled at the Soul Candi Institute of Music for a Music Production course,and continued his studiesat the Academy of Sound Engineeringmajoring in Music Production & Audio Post Production.
It was the 2008 Southern African Music Conference that became a defining juncture in Sir LSG's music path, after winning the conferences DJ competition, he caught the ear of the legendary DJ Christos, who was the link between Sir LSG & german producer Ralf GUM, who then became a mentor. Sir LSG's song “Sax in the City” finally found its way to light in 2011 when released on Ralf GUM's GOGO Music label, and reached global success. In 2014 Sir LSG was voted by traxsource.com as one of the top 20 Afro House Procers of the year.
After the release of his two singles; 'All I Am' feat. Brian Temba, as well as an instrumental gem 'Careful Careless', Sir LSG released his debut album in 2017, titled Moving Circles. The album featured various musicians such as Clara Hill, Thandi Ntuli, Zano, Carla Prather, Ayanda Jiya to name a few. The long player was well received, charting at the number 1 spot in South Africa on the 1stday of release, also extending music charts in Japan, Sweden, as well as Kenya. 5 of the singles from the album reached top 10 status on the Traxsource.com's Soulful House Music chart. In 2018 Sir LSG was awarded with the Best Producer award at the Dance Music South Africa Awards.
